How much does a bamboo bike cost?

We chanced upon the bamboo bikes during the Sustainable Enterprise Summit 2016 hosted by Enderun Colleges.

Apparently, Bambike Ecotours is located in Intramuros and they offer visitors a chance to rent these bikes for a few hours.

For P1,200 per person that includes bike and helmet rental, bottled water and entrance fees, Intramuros visitors can do a 2.5 hour tour around the area from 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5:30pm.

The one hour tour costs P600 per person while a simple bike rental costs P300 per hour.

Bambike also produces the bamboo bikes and we were wondering if the the eco-friendly themed bike was also price-friendly.

Anyway, judge for yourself. The cheapest model called Malaya made of upcycled materials costs a minimum of P15,000 to build completely.

The top of the line version called Luntian made for the urban jungle to the countryside can be built completely for P55,000. The all-terrain frame costs P25,000 and the 29-inch frame costs P29,000.
